Principal Bio

Balancing time between both New York and Los Angeles for the past ten years, Sarah Zames has become an expert at integrating the free living sensibilities of the west coast with the attention to detail found on the east. Sarah earned a Masters in Architecture from UCLA and a Bachelor’s degree from New York University.  
Prior to starting General Assembly in 2007, Sarah honed her skills at several international firms, including Skidmore Owings and Merrill, Tod Williams and Billie Tsien Architects, and Rafael Viñoly Architects.
