General Assembly is an architecture and interiors firm based in Brooklyn, NY.

We believe that every project presents its own set of challenges and provides a unique opportunity to discover innovative, elegant solutions. We think that good design requires equal amounts of art and a skill. It is not enough for a space to look beautiful if it does not function beautifully. We take inspiration from unlikely sources to come up with unexpected solutions to difficult problems. Graphic Design might be the missing ingredient for a retail store, and custom furniture fabrication might make a tiny apartment feel bigger.

In addition to the real world built environment, General Assembly enjoys working in production + set design, and has designed national commercials for some of the world’s biggest brands, including Google.
